Ronaldo & Pepe return to Real Madrid after Euro 2016 glory

The Portuguese stars were given an extended break following their heroics in France this summer but began training with at the Spanish side ahead of the new season

Cristiano Ronaldo and Pepe have returned to training with Real Madrid following their success with Portugal at Euro 2016.

The two stars were crucial for the Seleccao as they made it all the way to the final of the competition before beating hosts France after an extra-time goal from Eder.

However, the pair returned to the club on Wednesday, meeting up with coach Zinedine Zidane before starting work in training.

Ronaldo picked up an injury in the first half of the Euros final and has been recovering over the course of the summer, but is still expected to miss Los Blancos' first game of the season, in which they face Real Sociedad.
